Description
Polaris HP M
Polaris HP M is a device that allows deep tissue penetration to treat problem areas affected by pathological changes. The built-in laser source operates in continuous or pulsed (also super-pulsed) mode, which limits the thermal effect, and its maximum power is 8 W.
Polaris HP M
The effectiveness of Polaris HP M treatments is due to the use of a high power source with a single wavelength. The above mechanism of action allows you to get a thermal effect at the site of application, which is not available with low-level laser therapy. Thanks to the specially developed and patented DILA (Deep Intratissue Laser Adapter), deep skin conditions can also be treated.
Benefits for the patient
A modern method of treatment
The use of high-power lasers in physiotherapy is a relatively young field, but so far its positive effects have been recognised in dermatology, orthopaedics, general medicine, neurology, dentistry, aesthetic medicine, oncology and ENT, among others.
To maximise the potential of laser therapy, ASTAR has created and patented a special focusing adapter called the DILA (Deep Intratissue Laser Adapter). This advanced optical system allows the laser beam to be shaped to compensate for power losses in superficial tissues and reduce the occurrence of thermal effects on the skin and subcutaneous tissue, allowing for precise targeting of the area to be treated.
Non-invasive pain therapy and aesthetic medicine
The high-power laser is ideal for patients struggling with intense chronic pain. According to research, the laser can avoid the need for surgical treatment of many problematic bone and soft tissue conditions. Specialists in the field of sports medicine, physiotherapists who care for patients after injuries and damages to tendons or bones, use this type of therapy because of its effectiveness in relieving pain and its causes.
It is important that treatment with laser radiation is completely non-invasive. High-power laser therapy is a lifesaver for patients suffering from chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal system, painful inflammation of nerves and tendons, and joint degeneration. High-power laser therapy is also very popular among aesthetic medicine patients. Based on reports and scientific studies, a very positive effect of high-power laser therapy on fibrous cellulite has been proven. After just 12 treatments, the treated tissue becomes stronger, smoother, and its volume is noticeably smaller.
In aesthetic medicine clinics, lasers are currently used, among other things, to remove hyperpigmentation, close capillaries, remove erythema, remove tattoos and permanent make-up, and perform non-surgical and non-invasive facelift procedures.
Significant acceleration of tissue regeneration
The use of a powerful Polaris HP M laser with a wavelength of 808 nm allows for a biostimulation effect and an increase in the temperature of the treated area. The laser has the effect of increasing microcirculation, stimulating angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), DNA synthesis, increasing oxygen circulation and activating phagocytosis (a natural defence system against pathogens).
Laser therapy also increases the activity of fibroblasts, which have a significant impact on connective tissue healing, and they also produce collagen, intercellular essential fibres and basal proteoglycans (part of connective tissue). The above features make it possible to treat diseases located almost all over the body with high-power laser therapy.
It has anti-edematous and anti-inflammatory effects, significantly accelerates the process of tissue regeneration, wound and ulcer healing, and is an effective means of eliminating chronic and acute pain. In addition, the use of large doses of energy allows for more intensive therapy (in doses up to 50 J/cm2), which significantly reduces the duration of treatment.
Benefits for the therapist
Automatic monitoring of device performance
The high-power laser therapy device is equipped with a self-test function that automatically monitors the device's efficiency. The Polaris HP M also has the ability to automatically test the laser power, so the user can be sure that the device is always fully operational and that the treatments performed comply with safety standards.
Extensive configuration options
The Polaris HP M is not only a high-power laser therapy device, but it also has the ability to deliver biostimulation (low-level laser) treatments with all the low-power applicators available in the ASTAR range. The device thus offers a wide range of therapeutic options, allowing the use of point probes, a scanning laser applicator or a cluster laser applicator (shower applicator).
Thanks to the modern design of the HP transducer, adapter changes are quick and easy. The ability to deliver both high-power laser therapy and biostimulation therapy makes the Polaris HP M a versatile therapy device for physiotherapy centres.
Programmed and manual operation
The device is completely intuitive. The user can use the 227 built-in programmes and the encyclopaedia of therapeutic treatments displayed on the 7-inch touchscreen colour display, or create and save their own 250 user-defined treatment programmes.
With treatment sequences, the user is able to create a treatment sequence consisting of several different predefined and/or user-defined programmes.
You can also manually enter the power, frequency and fill factor parameters when the unit is in manual mode.
The Polaris HP M is equipped with a comfortable handle for easy handling and changes to treatment parameters. The Polaris HP M allows you to monitor treatment statistics and create lists of favourite programmes for individual applicators.
