Description
Polaris HP S high-energy laser
The Polaris HP S allows for both biostimulation and high-power laser therapy. It combines the effects of both therapies to ensure maximum treatment effectiveness. The device has two laser modules with a wavelength of 808 and 980 nm (8 and 10 W), which can operate in continuous, pulsed or superpulsed mode.
The Polaris HP S also works with the innovative DILA (Deep Intratissue Laser Adapter) focusing adapter, which shapes the laser beam to reduce thermal effects and compensate for power loss in superficial tissue.
Benefits for the patient
Modern pain therapy
The simultaneous use of two modules with different wavelengths allows for a double therapeutic effect - biostimulation of the selected body area and effective and rapid thermal action at the application site. Thus, Polaris HP S eliminates even severe, chronic pain associated with bone and soft tissue diseases, restoring patients' quality of life. High-power laser therapy helps in the treatment of diseases, including orthopaedics, rheumatology, dermatology, podiatry, neurology and many others.
Its beneficial effects on tissues have also been appreciated by experts in the field of veterinary medicine and animal physiotherapy.
Fast tissue regeneration
Biostimulation in combination with high-power laser therapy has a beneficial effect on tissue areas affected by the pathological process. Due to its activity, laser therapy increases the ability of body tissues to regenerate, and by stimulating angiogenesis, blood circulation and nutrition of the affected area increases. The combination of laser therapy with wavelengths of 808 nm and 980 nm has an antimutagenic effect, and also leads to increased synthesis of collagen, proteins, RNA, DNA and ATP, acceleration of electrolyte metabolism between the cell and the environment, stimulation of fibroblast activity, greater tissue oxygenation and activation of phagocytosis (natural defence against pathogens) and a significant reduction in pain by activating the analgesic mechanism.
Advanced technologies
ASTAR has developed and patented a unique solution that allows for therapy at deeper tissue layers. The DILA (Deep Intratissue Laser Adapter) is an adapter that, thanks to the use of an advanced optical system, allows you to form a laser beam focused in the tissue to a depth of several centimetres. The use of this technology means that the thermal impact on the surface of the laser beam area is significantly reduced. The DILA is an optional accessory.
Benefits for the therapist
Intuitive operation
The device has been designed to meet the needs and recommendations of physiotherapists to ensure that it delivers long-lasting treatment effects. The Polaris HP S is equipped with a practical encyclopaedia describing the methodology of a specific treatment procedure, which is displayed on a large 7-inch graphic touchscreen display. The user can choose to operate in manual or software mode and select independent settings for both radiation sources. Adapters are extremely easy to change, and the laser application site is indicated by a pilot beam, allowing for precise targeting of the treatment area. A comfortable handle facilitates operation of the device and quick change of treatment parameters. High-power and biostimulating laser therapy. The Polaris HP S is a dual-purpose device that serves as a high-power laser and a biostimulation device at the same time. The controller has two built-in radiation sources (with a peak output power of up to 18 W in pulsed mode). The list of supported applicators includes R and IR probes, a cluster laser applicator, and a scanning laser applicator, which are also available in the ASTAR offer. Any of these applicators can be used to perform laser biostimulation treatments.
Mobile, comfortable and safe
With the Polaris HP S, treatments can be carried out in a physiotherapy centre or on the go, anywhere the user chooses. The device is lightweight, weighing only 6 kg, and the ergonomic carrying case available as an option will carry the device and its accessories. The Polaris HP S has a built-in self-test routine that ensures that all modules of the device are in good working order each time it is switched on.
