KARL STORZ Versatile Endoscopic System for Office Hysteroscopy and Hysteroresectoscopy

The complex is the “gold standard” in modern gynaecology. Its main advantage is its dual purpose, which fully meets the needs of the operating theatre:

1. Outpatient (diagnostic) hysteroscopy using the BETTOCCHI method: Thanks to the 2.9 mm-thin optical fibres and special tubes, the procedure is carried out painlessly in an outpatient clinic setting, without the need for cervical dilation or anaesthesia.
2. Surgical hysteroresectoscopy: A fully equipped set featuring a 26 Шр monopolar resectoscope allows for an immediate transition to surgical treatment (removal of large polyps, submucosal fibroids and synechiae, and endometrial ablation).

At the heart of the complex is a mobile video system TELE PACK + — a unique all-in-one unit that combines a monitor, an LED light source and a camera control unit. Together with an automatic pressure control pump ENDOMAT SELECT, this kit ensures maximum safety for the patient and perfect visibility for the surgeon.

🩺 Intended use of the kit

1. Hysteroresectoscopy and office hysteroscopy (Gynaecology)
   • Diagnostics and delicate surgical procedures: 2.9 mm optics combined with ultra-slim tubes BETTOCCHI and, together with forceps/scissors, is designed for “office” hysteroscopy (examination of the uterine cavity, biopsy, and removal of small polyps without dilation of the cervix).
   • Surgical procedures: The 4 mm optical system, the large resectoscope sheath (26 Schirr), the working element, the loop and the HF cable are used for full-scale procedures — the resection of fibroids and large polyps, or endometrial ablation.
2. General flexible and rigid endoscopy
   • Thanks to its versatile video system and pump, the kit can be partially adapted for other procedures (such as basic cystoscopy in urology).

📋 Filling the system:

For the purposes of accounting, logistics or after-sales service, all items are divided into four functional groups:

1. Video system and light source (Visualisation)

• TELE PACK + / IMAGE1 S HX: A modern, compact and versatile all-in-one mobile unit (screen, processor, light source, data archiving).
• 1-Chip FULL HD Camera Head: It transmits a clear, high-resolution digital image from the operating theatre to the monitor.
• Fibre-optic light guide (3.5 mm, 230 cm): It transmits a powerful light beam from the system unit to the optics.

2. Optical devices and instruments (Endoscopy)

• HOPKINS 30° optical sight (2.9 mm, 30 cm): Thin, wide-angle lens optics for a minimally invasive examination.
• HOPKINS 12° optics (4 mm, 30 cm): Standard surgical optics, providing a clear view of the working area of the resectoscope’s cutting loop.
• BETTOCCHI sleeves (outer and inner): Special oval sheaths for delicate instrumental hysteroscopy.
• Biopsy/grasping forceps and scissors (5 pcs.): Flexible or semi-rigid micro-instruments inserted via the working channel of the BETTOCCHI tube.

3. Resectoscopic unit (Electrosurgery)

• Resectoscope tube (26 Schr.), Obturator: A protective outer sheath for the safe insertion of the instrument and continuous irrigation of the cavity.
• Working element: A control mechanism used by the surgeon to guide the movement of the cutting loop during an operation.
• Cutting loop (24/26 width): A cutting tool that cuts through tissue using an electric current.
• High-frequency monopolar cable (300 cm): Connects the resectoscope’s working element to the coagulator (high-frequency unit) to supply electrical current.

4. Hydrodynamics (Fluid Control)

• ENDOMAT SELECT: A smart pump that automatically controls the pressure and the rate of fluid delivery and aspiration to ensure that the uterine cavity remains dilated and the examination site remains clear.
• Tubes (PC irrigation set): Pipelines for supplying sterile solution.

5. Mobile furniture (Medical furniture)

• AI COR Stand, Leg, Tube (725 mm), Drawer, Blocks, Lid: Components of the company’s modular medical trolley (ergonomic wheeled stand). They are designed to securely mount monitors, devices and cables, and to store small instruments.

4) After-sales support and technical guidance throughout the warranty period.

5) Once the warranty period has expired, you have the option to enter into a service agreement, which gives you priority in terms of service and the resolution of service-related issues.
