Densitometer DEN-1 призначений для вимірювання каламутності клітинних суспензій у межах діапазону 0,0–6,0 одиниць Макфарланду (McF) (0 – 180 x 10 7 cells/ml).
Можливості приладу передбачають вимірювання каламутності суспензій та в ширших межах (6,0–15,0 одиниць Мак-Фарланда), але слід враховувати, що при цьому зростає помилка вимірювань.
A densitometer is used to determine the concentration of cells (bacterial, yeast) during fermentation, to assess the susceptibility of microorganisms to antibiotics, to identify microorganisms using various test systems, to measure absorbance at a fixed wavelength, and to quantitatively assess the concentration of coloured solutions that absorb green light.
The principle of operation of the device is based on measuring optical density, followed by the digital display of the results in McFarland units.
Прилад відкалібрований виробником для роботи зі скляними пробірками із зовнішнім діаметром 16 мм та зберігає дані калібрування. При необхідності можливе калібрування по 2-6 точках в межах діапазону 0,0-6,0 одиниць Мак-Фарланда. Для калібрування рекомендуємо використовувати стандарти Biosan, допускається можливість використання інших комерційних або саморобних стандартів (наприклад, BaSO4). Функція повернення до заводського калібрування.
